Incredibly enough, what follows is the actual, official SuperSpeed USB logo:
Apparently, the committee that chose this design did not think it could be a problem that "SS" is usually understood to refer to the Schutzstaffel; the Nazi so-called "protection squadron" that was central in killing millions of Jews and other targeted groups during World War II (the Holocaust). I wonder how popular this logo will be in Germany, where laws ban the use of symbols of Nazism.
I have to assume that other logos were considered and ultimately rejected:
